I've been using EyePoker for datamining for quite a while now but I can't help bothering the fact that Holdem Manager keeps giving import errors and duplicate hands with every import. It varies wildly, but it yields about 1 to 5% of total hands imported as an error and about 10% of total hands as duplicate. It does this on Titan and on Carlos. How can I still trust the stats that it has mined if it mines it with so many errors? I can't help wondering whether all the stats that I have on players are still correct....
Oh: yes its on English client, and yes, all chat messages are turned on.
Don't worry.
HoldemManager (and others) will not import a hands when it's a duplicate.
(They check the gamenumber before they import...)
So all stats are fine.

OK, great. But how come EyePoker generates duplicate hands while datamining? Isnt that a bug? Last import had 14k hands and about 400 duplicates? And more than 100 errors. Seems like something's wrong to me. Unless you have a good explanation of course. I'm just interested really.
There is no reasonable possibility that it saves a hand twice, but you never know what happens when EyePoker is writing a hands and HoldemManager tries to import the file at the same time.
I mean you could tell HEM to move the imported files to another directory,
but it will not do that while EyePoker is still writing to it.
Thus it will stay where it is, and on the next autoimport it will cause duplicate hands.
Thats just 1 possibility...
The errors could get caused by, e.g.:
- duplicate hands.
- table brake down. The players left, but the last "incomplete" hand (where nobody posted the big blind) still gets written to disk.
- Short connection loss, resulting in "incomplete" hands.
