Full Version: Seperating Databases to increase scanning speeds? Will this work?

Hey, so I just recently started buying HH's from a datamining site and have since been importing massive amounts of hands into my datamined hands pt2 database. I'm importing probably like 60-100k hands a day, sometimes more, so I figure that after a week or so, my scanning speed will really start to decrease. Currently I just store all my mined hands from Ipoker, Party and FTP onto 1 database.

Question is, Would it be more effective for me to create a seperate db for just ipoker hands to be use in conjunction with EyePoker, and another seperate db for only FTP + Party hands to be used in conjuction with SpadeEye? Would this increase scanning speeds?

Also what is this PT3 Aggregator I keep hearing about? Is it sort of like a database cache like in PA HUD used to increase scanning speeds?

If so, would I be better off importing all my Ipoker, FTP, Party mined hands into a PT3 db instead, so I can use the PT3 Aggregator?

If I do this, am I able to use SpadeEye with both PT2, and PT3 dbs?

Yes, it's exactly that, but for PokerTracker 3 databases only.

Yes, it would increase the scanning speed.
You should have a seperate PT2 database for iPoker, Party and FullTilt (means 3 databases).
But watch out to import everything in the correct database.
It's easy to mix them up by accident Smile

This is another good possibility.
Put everything in one PT3 database, and use the aggregator instead.

Not sure if mixing PT2 and PT3 database in SpadeEye will work 100%.
Give it a try Smile
